A GoalManager Reader Tip

A Trade Show Display Contest

Is your company sending a delegation to an industry conference, trade show, or convention this year? Don't make your booth design a chore for the marketing staff - make your trade show display a real team effort!

A GoalManager reader, Peter Lemmeck from D.R. Construction Works, tells us how they improved their trade show exhibit process:

"Each year, we exhibit at four or five trade shows. Every few years, when we redesign our trade show display booth, we hold a contest throughout our company. The employee who comes up with the most creative trade show display or booth design is sent to work with our outside consultant for a full week doing the final design. Surprisingly, most winners have been from non-marketing job functions."

"We end up with a great trade show display, our team feels really involved in the process, and our employees working the booth feel enormous pride that our whole company was involved."

So make your next trade show or industry meeting a chance to integrate the entire team's ideas and efforts, not just those people in trade show marketing! A tradeshow display contest can be an engaging way to solicit new ideas, promote morale, and enhance the
convention-going experience."
